LOOKING UP. REACHING OUT.
In Matthew 14, we read of Jesus miraculously feeding 5000 people.
The disciples gave Jesus what they had – a small boy’ s lunch. Matthew tells us that He looked up, gave thanks, broke the bread and gave it to the disciples, who in turn gave it to the people, who in turn were satisfied.
In the same way, Jesus calls us to offer Him what we have and allow Him to multiply it so that others may be blessed.
We LOOK UP and we REACH OUT.
Someone put it this way:
‘We need to be brave and bold – we’re looking up to a BIG GOD and reaching out to a BIG community – so let’s have a BIG vision – not in a reckless way, but in a way that trusts Him to take our five loaves and two fish and do something amazing.’
