This year, (2016-17) we are celebrating our 50th anniversary. As we give thanks for the past, we are so encouraged by what God is doing amongst us and we’re excited for the future. St Mary’s has always sought to be a church that serves the local community here in Ballybeen. That commitment is always about people first – whether people who are currently part of the church family or those whom we connect with through the many ways in which we reach out.
Buildings are also important, something that has been recognized throughout these past 50 years – from a simple wooden hut placed on site in 1966, the dual purpose building opened in 1972, the current church built in 1984 to accommodate the rapid growth of the congregation, and the refurbishment and extension of the hall in 1997. We have recognized afresh the need to step out in faith and provide buildings that are fit for purpose in the 21st century. These drawings give you some indication of what is planned over the next few years. Please join with us in praying that the Lord will provide what we need and that enhanced facilities will help us to reach out effectively in the years to come.
