Mark Harvey – Rector

Mark was born in Belfast. Before ordination in 1993, he worked as a primary school teacher in Bangor. He married Joanne in 1994 (in St Mary’s!!) and they have a daughter, Lydia. His passions include music and football (mostly watching) and he had recently taken up running until a broken leg put paid to that!!. Mark has been rector of St Mary’s since May 2005.

David Trimble – Children’s Ministry Coordinator

Prior to coming on St Mary’s staff in February 2008, David and his wife Angela led the children’s ministry in Bangor Community Church in a voluntary capacity. David brings huge passion, immense gifts and boundless enthusiasm to his work. He and Angela have five children – Rachel, Jonathan, Matthew, Lauren and Elliott. David loves messing with technology!

David Manning – Lay Reader

David has served as a Lay Reader in St. Mary’s for 20 years and continues to exercise an invaluable teaching ministry in the church. He is married to Ruth and they have three daughters, Rachel, Rebecca and Susannah.

Sylvia Clarke –

Office Administrator

Sylvia has been running the church office since it opened in February 2007. She brings a wealth of experience to the role and provides the necessary administrative support to the expanding ministry in St. Mary’s. Young grandson Sam is the apple of her eye! She also has a real passion for the plight of persecuted Christians and is our rep for Open Doors.
