Keeping you up to date...

Sundays at St Mary’s

Important Announcement about In-Person Worship during the Lockdown (updated 24/1/2021)

Dear friends

Following this week’s announcement of the extension of the lockdown in Northern Ireland and after reviewing the medical advice, the four main church leaders have confirmed that we will be worshipping solely online until at least the beginning of March. Please pray for all affected by Covid, for our Health Care system and Key workers, and for our leaders as they make difficult decisions in the days ahead.

We will continue with our online services each Sunday on all of our media platforms. Please keep an eye there and in our weekly updates for further information.

From October 2020

Great news! We have now located alternate venues for meeting together for in person church services while we are out of the church building. Thanks to the kindness of our friends at Dundonald Methodist Church, we will be meeting on Sunday afternoons at 3pm in their church building, with a few exceptions: on the 8th of November at 11am we will be meeting for church in the ballroom of the Stormont Hotel, where we will also meet on the 20th of December at 7.30pm for a Christmas/Carol Service.
Registration for this Sunday’s service at 3pm at Dundonald Methodist will go live at 9am on 7 December 2020. Although numbers will be limited, please do sign up and/or add your name to the waiting list if necessary, and we will try as always to accommodate as many as possible. See below for registration.
Giving thanks for God’s goodness and provision.
Be blessed!

Gathering for Worship

We are gathering together again for In-Church worship on Sundays. Whether you’ve been with us for a while or you have never been to church before, we would love for you to come along and join us. For those who aren’t able to make it out, we will continue broadcasting our services on our Facebook page and YouTube channel, as well as via our Dial-a-Service and DVD ministries.

Returning to In-Church Worship

To accommodate 2m social distancing rules, we need to limit numbers and seat you in household groups / bubbles. To enable this to happen as smoothly as possible and for contact tracing purposes, we will also need to ask you to pre-register your attendance as space will be limited.

Registering on ChurchSuite or via Phone

Registration will take place through ChurchSuite, and every Monday a new registration link will be made available via our Facebook page. If we have your email address, you will also receive an email alerting you to this link. If you are unable to access registration online through ChurchSuite, you may also phone our registration hotline. To do so, ring 07738 488786 and follow the directions on the voice message, which will ask for your name, number, and names of those attending with you.

When we have reached full capacity, you will be notified and placed on a waiting list. If you discover you are unable to attend, please let us know so we can invite the next person on the list.

When you attend In-Church Worship

Please ensure households / bubbles arrive to church together. Entrance will be through the right hand door of the Dundonald Methodist Church facilities to enable a one way system. On arrival, our stewards will greet you and lead you to our check-in station, and then to your seat in church.

Services will start at 3pm in Dundonald Methodist Church, unless otherwise stated. Please aim to arrive no earlier than 2.30pm but before 2.50pm to allow sufficient time for you to be greeted by our stewards, sanitise your hands, be checked-in and be shown to your seat. Once seated, please stay at your seat for the duration of the service.

Please maintain social distancing and refrain from physical contact.

Please wear a face covering, unless you are medically exempt or under the age of 13.

Toilet facilities will be available only in cases of emergency.

The offering will be a retiring collection.

Once the service has concluded, please exit the building safely through the main church doors and make your way out of the building, avoiding congestion or stopping to talk until you are safely socially distanced in the car park.

While families are welcome to attend, we will not have any organised Crèche/Children’s ministries running to begin with. Children will remain seated with their parents in Church. In the mean time we’re working hard to get our youth and children’s ministries back up and going again.

Please do not attend In-Church if you or anyone at home has symptoms of COVID-19. Likewise, those considered by the NI Executive to be ‘vulnerable’ or ‘extremely vulnerable’ should seek medical advice before attending.

I’m so looking forward to seeing you again soon!

Yours in Christ
